MCP Bridge — Enhanced MCP Integration for OpenClaw

Use mcp-bridge to seamlessly integrate MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers as native tools. Unlike mcporter, MCP Bridge automatically discovers your local MCP servers and makes their tools available without any manual configuration.

Quick Start

1. Initialize (first time only)

mcp-bridge init

This creates ~/.openclaw/mcp-bridge.json with default settings.

2. Auto-Discovery

MCP Bridge automatically discovers MCP servers from:

Claude Desktop config (~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json)
Cursor config (~/.cursor/mcp.json)
VS Code config (~/.vscode/mcp.json)
mcporter config (~/.config/mcporter/)

No manual configuration needed — if you already have MCP servers configured for other tools, MCP Bridge will find and use them.

3. Connect and Discover Tools

mcp-bridge connect

This connects to all discovered servers and lists available tools.

4. Search the MCP Registry

mcp-bridge search "github"
mcp-bridge search "database"
mcp-bridge search "slack"

5. Install New Servers
