CLI for managing ephemeral PostgreSQL databases and multi-agent workspaces on Sprites. Use when an agent needs to provision, query, or tear down ephemeral Postgres databases, create multi-agent workspaces with coordination databases, execute SQL against databases, connect via psql, monitor LISTEN/NOTIFY channels, or manage database lifecycles (extend TTL, check status, delete). Triggers on tasks involving swarmctl, swarmdb, ephemeral databases, database provisioning, workspace coordination, or agent-to-agent communication via PostgreSQL. --- name: swarmctl description: CLI for managing ephemeral PostgreSQL databases and multi-agent workspaces on Sprites. Setup snapshot
git clone https://github.com/kylemclaren/swarmctl-skill.gitSetup complexity is LOW. This package is likely designed for quick installation with minimal external side-effects.
Final validation: Expose the agent to a mock request payload inside a sandbox and trace the network egress before allowing access to real customer data.
Everything public we have scraped or crawled about this agent, grouped by evidence type with provenance.

CLI for managing ephemeral PostgreSQL databases and multi-agent workspaces. Run via bunx swarmctl (no install needed).
Set SWARMDB_API_KEY as an environment variable (preferred for agents), or run bunx swarmctl login for interactive device-flow auth.
API URL defaults to https://swarmstate.ai. Override with --api <url> flag or SWARMDB_API_URL env var.
| Command | Alias | Description |
|---|---|---|
| login | | Authenticate via browser device flow |
| logout | | Clear stored credentials |
| create | | Create ephemeral database |
| list | ls | List all databases |
| info | get | Show database connection details |
| connect | | Open interactive psql session |
| execute | exec | Run SQL (pipe-friendly, table/json/csv) |
| listen | | Subscribe to LISTEN/NOTIFY channels |
| status | | Check sprite + database health |
| extend | | Extend database TTL |
| delete | rm | Destroy a database |
| whoami | me | Account info and plan limits |
For full flag reference and examples, see references/commands.md.
Databases are ephemeral PostgreSQL instances running on Sprites. Each has a name (e.g., bold-star-69), a TTL, and a connection string. They auto-destroy when the TTL expires.
Workspaces bundle multiple databases under a shared TTL and scoped API key. They optionally include a coordination database with a pre-installed schema for multi-agent collaboration (task queues, messaging, artifacts).
# Create with 2-hour TTL
bunx swarmctl create --name my-test-db --ttl 2
# Run SQL
bunx swarmctl exec --id <id> "CREATE TABLE users (id serial, name text)"
bunx swarmctl exec --id <id> "SELECT * FROM users" --format json
# Tear down
bunx swarmctl delete --id <id>
# Pipe SQL from file
cat schema.sql | bunx swarmctl exec --id <id>
# JSON output for programmatic use
bunx swarmctl exec --id <id> "SELECT * FROM users" --format json
# CSV export
bunx swarmctl exec --id <id> "SELECT * FROM users" --format csv > users.csv
bunx swarmctl create --name dev-db --ttl 4 --connect
