openclaw-job-scout

A two-stage job monitoring pipeline:

Scout — Brave Search finds new OpenClaw postings on LinkedIn. Sends a quick Telegram alert.
Enricher — Fires an isolated OpenClaw agent session that uses the browser tool to navigate to LinkedIn, snapshot the full page, and deliver the complete job description to Telegram.

Designed for OpenClaw practitioners who want to track emerging roles in the OpenClaw ecosystem.

Architecture

LaunchAgent (9AM daily)
  └─► scout.py
        ├─► Brave Search API → find new OpenClaw LinkedIn jobs
        ├─► Telegram → "new posting" alert (title, salary, link)
        └─► openclaw cron add → isolated agent session (+1m)
                └─► browser(open) → LinkedIn job URL
                └─► browser(snapshot) → full page content
                └─► Telegram → complete formatted JD

State

state.json tracks two lists:

seen_job_ids — jobs that have triggered the quick alert
enriched_job_ids — jobs that have had full JD enrichment queued

Deleting state.json resets both. Jobs already enriched will not be re-enriched even if seen_job_ids is cleared, as long as enriched_job_ids is preserved.

Setup

Prerequisites:

Brave Search API key configured in OpenClaw (tools.web.search.apiKey) — used automatically
OpenClaw Telegram channel configured

LaunchAgent (already installed):

~/Library/LaunchAgents/ai.openclaw.job-scout.plist

Runs scout.py daily at 9:00 AM. Logs to ~/.openclaw/workspace/logs/job-scout.log.

Load/unload:

launchctl load ~/Library/LaunchAgents/ai.openclaw.job-scout.plist
launchctl unload ~/Library/LaunchAgents/ai.openclaw.job-scout.plist

Manual run

"openclaw" site:linkedin.com/jobs

High-precision, zero noise. Catches any LinkedIn job posting mentioning OpenClaw. To re-alert on all current postings, clear seen_job_ids in state.json.
